How to stay lean forever

Losing body fat is the easy part. Whether you believe it or not. It’s true, it’s way harder to keep it off. Not yo-yo yourself back to before and regain all lost weight.

How many people do you know that got to lose body fat, but regained it all back? Probably more than enough.

See, fitness has never been more widely accessible as today. Social media created a boom and the industry is growing...

Yet if you go to the average gym, how many people do you see in shape? If you follow them along for some years, how many change physically?

It’s never been a problem of accessibility, or of knowledge. Especially in today's world. Most people are able to get into a calorie deficit. Even get their hands easily on Ozempic.

But to truly change themselves and transform? That needs deeper understanding of yourself.

What’s the issue, why does the yo-yo effect happen?

Because people always think of “X” solving all their problems, of wanting to get rid of body fat fast. Instead of pausing for a moment and analyzing why you’re out of shape first.

You don’t need to add in an extra “X” into your life, the magic protocol you’ve been missing. The trillion-step-Huberman-protocol. Adding more on top of an already stressful modern life. Stop thinking about MORE, start thinking about LESS.

What can you avoid, cut out that doesn’t serve you? How can you make sticking to a diet easier and remove any mental juggling? How can you make it fit your actual lifestyle and keep the ball rolling while on business trips, family or social gatherings?

That’s how you create long-lasting habit changes. By reflecting on your current state and what you experience in a diet. People are hooked on the visual change, which is good and important. But there is also an internal change.

If you are aware of that you can totally rewire yourself. Learn how your body truly functions in a cut to a lean physique. Aligning body and mind. Chasing true fun, immersing yourself in the process.

Understanding your mind

This only works if you understand basic human instincts and the psychology of yourself. Also what factors of the modern world, its influence, has robbed us of our natural state: our birthright to be fit, lean and vital.

You chase step count, calories and macros, your weight progress on the scale and in the mirror... but every week, even every day, you should take a moment to reflect on what you felt during that process.

Key points are:

  • Noticing differences between hunger and appetite
  • Environmental factors challenging or motivating you
  • Effects of dieting on your digestion and mental state
  • Sleep quality

… and so many more that come down to your individual lifestyle.

Everything needs to be fast and achieved quick nowadays. A modern disease. Only backfiring. "Slow is smooth, smooth is fast" is the approach you should be taking.

Don’t think of how you want to look like in 3 or 6 months. But how you want to look like years later. Dieting all for nothing? Why put even the energy into it, when you in fact can do it better. Without burning out.

What I mentioned here is what I hone in on every client I work with. Why they achieve a mental spark in the process of fat loss and actually enjoy it, instead of suffering.

To make my approach more widely accessible and cheaper, I’m opening up a group. Keeping quality and engagement high by limiting it to 16 people looking to lose body fat and change their physique forever. Learning all fundamentals in 16 weeks.

Life today is different from 100 years ago. Industrialization and the Internet changed everything. We live now in a world of instant gratification. The time has come in which people want physique goals as quick as an Amazon delivery. As instant as the hit of fast food. A date with a girl by a simple swipe. Sex by looking at a ZOGGED video… you get the point. Ultimately people want the "hack" that fixes digestion overnight. The pill that gets abs instantly. The perfect routine that feels easy...

Appetite management is the holy grail of diet success. With it you don’t have to rely on willpower. Everyone can get a sixpack once they understand the role of appetite and hunger. Look deep into theirselves and know what the body and mind really needs. This without the reach to a needle and injecting Ozempic. Just becoming a slave to pharmacy and hooked onto it like a meth addict. Most failed diets come down to this: yo-yo back up, regaining even more weight than they lost very quick; losing...

Training to failure gets constantly recycled in the fitness niche. We went from bro science “train all out, reach complete failure” (read this with Tom Platz voice), to “leave reps in reserve”, to “train to technical failure”… You hear all these words still being thrown around. Everyone tells you to train hard. Others say you only need to train shy to failure and they love ‘Reps in Reserve’. Marcel @345marcel Easy to blind fitness beginners by speaking of ’failure training‘. Your body isn’t...
